The Puyallup Food Bank has been serving our neighbors in need since 1972. Our neighbors need urgent relief from hunger, but they also need encouragement. They need help navigating their way to a more hopeful future. We believe food is the first step on this journey. We have a long history of serving our clients holistically with compassion, respect and grace. We invite you to join us in this tradition of generosity and service.

For every $20 donated, we can provide 100 meals to those who need it most!

We also accept in-kind gifts of non-perishable food and hygiene products.

We do not accept clothing, furniture, toys or other non-consumable items.

Our promise to every financial partner who joins us in living out our mission is to steward your resources wisely and to provide you a place where you can serve, love and give to your neighbor as part of a community of hope.

Food Donations

We accept donations Monday-Friday, 8:00am – 12:00pm. For questions, or to deliver on behalf of a store, distributor or trucking company, please call 253-262-5642 or email david@pfb.org.

Your donations of fresh produce and non-perishable food will go directly to those who need it most. While we do receive food products from vendors such as Costco and Amazon, a large portion of our food supply comes from everyday people like you, neighbors who want to help their neighbors. With your support, we are not just providing a meal, but offering a first step toward a more hopeful future.

    • Non-perishable unopened packages of food
    • Food in un-dented metal cans
    • Dried food

Food Drive Ideas

  • #Canstruction: Set a goal to build a something spectacular out of canned food, send us a photo and then donate all the cans. We’ll post it on our social media pages. (seriously, google this, it’s awesome).
  • Event Admission: Hosting a paid event? Consider offering a discount to anyone who brings a donation of non-perishable food. Again, we’d be happy to promote your admission discount on our social media pages.
  • Fill the ___________: Don’t settle for merely filling a barrel or a bin with food. Get a golf cart, or a refrigerator, or some other large creative container to fill with non-perishable items. (maybe fill a medicine cabinet with toiletry supplies). Take a picture and we’ll post it (we love bragging on our donors)
  • Car Wash: A bag of food buys a car wash. A fun twist on this is to collect pledges in advance, asking people, “will you give a can of food for every car we wash on a given day? Then wash as many cars as you can on that day, for FREE. Report the number of cars to your pledgers and collect the food.
  • Competitive: Create teams within your group and see who can collect the most food over a given period of time, using whatever tactics they want. We’ll even post the scores on our social media pages if you want! Want to go big? Make it a tournament, with brackets and everything!
